New Missouri River Trail Opens to Hikers and Cyclists
Five-mile scenic path along river bluffs completed after two years of construction.
A new five-mile recreational trail along the Missouri River bluffs officially opened to the public this week, offering hikers and cyclists stunning views and unprecedented access to one of the region's most beautiful natural areas.
The Missouri River Scenic Trail, which took two years and $400,000 to complete, winds through Weston Bend State Park and connects to downtown Weston via a paved section. The trail accommodates both pedestrians and cyclists and is accessible to people of varying fitness levels, with gentle grades designed for families and individuals with mobility limitations.
