In a unanimous vote Wednesday evening, the Weston City Council approved a $150,000 beautification grant from the Missouri Department of Economic Development to revitalize the historic downtown district. The comprehensive project will support sidewalk repairs, facade improvements, and the installation of period-appropriate street lighting along Main Street from Oak Avenue to the river bluffs. The initiative, which has been in planning stages for over eighteen months, is expected to begin construction in June with completion targeted for September.
